ESTNN Overwatch Player of the Year

If there is one player who has backed up all the hype and proven themselves in 2020, it’s Kyung-bo  "Alarm"  Kim. Alarm is the Rookie of the Year and shining star of the Philadelphia Fusion — even with old teammate Carpe on the lineup. Most of the Overwatch community has had their eyes on Alarm since he was a young all-star for Fusion University. Not only does the young flex-support player have four Contenders titles under his belt, but has also competed in both the North American and Korean regions.  When Overwatch was first released, Alarm was only 15 years old. At first, it was just a source of entertainment. His first competitive experience with Overwatch was on Bo-Byeom “Bokyems” Kim’s team, BK Stars, along with Jae-Hyeok “Carpe” Lee. A few seasons into APEX, it wasn’t working out. So the team disbanded, and Alarm played a filler role for Lunatic-Hai back in 2017 when the main roster switched to the Overwatch League and became the original Seoul Dynasty roster. He se

WoW: Asmongold Goes On Strike As Bots Ravage Game's Economy

Popular World of Warcraft streamer, Asmongold has gone on strike using the hashtag #StopTheBots as farming bots ravage the global WoW economy. It seems like Asmongold has had enough of bots on his server, with the streamer going on strike until Blizzard stops the excessive bots ruining the gold economy. For those not familiar with botting and how it pertains to WoW; basically, people will group up with their own characters (on multiple accounts) and farm Hyber Spawning mobs. These mobs will spawn at a super-fast rate, especially if killed. What this means is botters, who use automated software, are able to mass farm these mobs and sell the items the mobs drop to vendors for upwards of 12 million gold an hour. Not only does it crash the game’s economy with a massive influx of gold, but it also leads to massive server instability. The farming is often done in older expansions, meaning it’s often not noticed by regular players who continue to play the game, so many are unaware of what

Dota 2: Thunder Predator Loses Two Players

After a really difficult year for the South American Dota 2 scene, two players decided to part ways with Thunder Predator. Even though Thunder Predator had a pretty good year in the South American Dota 2 scene, two of their team members decided that they want a change. After Valve decided to cancel the DPC, there were all sorts of regional South American Dota 2 tournaments. Even though their prize pools were nowhere near as impressive as the ones in Europe/CIS, every team had the chance to shine. Needless to say, Thunder Predator has been considered as one of the best SA teams. Consequently, they’ve won numerous events, which allowed them to earn a decent amount of money. Despite the success, Farith “Matthew” Puente decided that he wants to take a break. He was planning to return to the team for the DPC, but it seems he has changed his plans. To make matters worse, Alexin “sl4d1n-” Cepeda, who was the stand-in for Matthew, also decided to return to his team, Infamous. Now, Thunder

Fortnite: Players To Watch For In 2021

ESTNN highlights some players to watch for in 2021. The year 2020 is coming to a close, and it was a successful one for competitive Fortnite. Despite COVID-19 restrictions, Epic Games hosted several massive tournaments, featuring million-dollar prize pools. The entire competitive scene took advantage of their opportunities. Some household names continued adding to their already impressive tournament history, whereas new stars began to rise at an astounding rate. Although there won't be a Fortnite World Cup in 2021, the developers and players will continue improving the competitive product. With 2020 in the rearview, let's look at some players and storylines to keep an eye on in 2021. Benjyfishy (EU) Five-time Fortnite Champion Series finalist benjyfishy is undoubtedly one of the world's best players. CS:GO: Player Of The Year 2020

ESTNN takes a look back at 2020 and crowns CS:GO's Player of the Year. Professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player "ZywOo" Herbaut had himself quite the year in 2020. Although the COVID-19 pandemic effectively eliminated any shot at consistent offline major events, that didn’t stop ZywOo from continuing to elevate his name after an impressive 2019. In his second year with Team Vitality, the 20-year-old Frenchman accomplished just about as much as any player in 2020 could given the circumstances. It wasn’t easy to make the necessary adjustments during such an odd year in competitive CS:GO. ZywOo exhibited true leadership qualities as he and Team Vitality managed to bounce back from some early season adversity. Battling Through Early Struggles ZywOo rallied troops after a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to Complexity at the BLAST Spring 2020 European Finals in June. Unfortunately, the untimely defeat meant the Frenchman and his teammates would settle for second place. F

Is ZexRow Done With Fortnite?

Veteran professional Fortnite: Battle Royale player Anthony “ZexRow” Colandro might be moving on from the game that helped spawn his successful career. ZexRow arrived on the Fortnite scene in its prime - when invitational tournaments were the only option for top players. He became one of the most recognizable names in the game’s history because of his tournament success. That all may be coming to an end based on ZexRow’s activity over the last several weeks. He’s been grinding Riot Games’ competitive first-person shooter (FPS) Valorant heavily and has not touched Fortnite much outside of one invite-only competition. What’s more, ZexRow continues to tease his departure from Fortnite on Twitter, leaving fans wondering if it will come to fruition. Dota 2: The Biggest Winners Of Patch 7.28

Here are some of the best heroes in the current patch. Even though Dota 2’s newest patch came out just a few days ago, it already changed the game. Besides the various new items, some heroes were also changed a lot. Hence, we decided it’s time to take a look at some of the biggest winners of the new patch. Keep in mind that this list is subject to change because we will see many various minor changes in the last couple of days. Mirana The first hero that deserves to be on this list is Mirana. Although she was really popular in the previous patch, she still continues to be one of the most important heroes in the game. Although she was mainly played as a support/offlaner, the addition of Aghanim’s Shard will allow the hero to play as a damage dealer once again. Some teams already tried playing Mirana as a mid laner and, judging by the results, it was successful. Besides being incredibly versatile, this hero is also a nightmare to deal with if you are a support player. After the cha
