Epic Games will not reinstate Clix’s Support-A-Creator Code.
The last few weeks have been rough for professional Fortnite Battle Royale player Cody “Clix'' Conrod. It all began with a tweet that Epic Games deemed inappropriate, resulting in Clix losing his Support-A-Creator (SAC) Code. The punishment continued when Epic Games asked map creators to distance themselves from the 16-year-old professional player, removing his name from featured Creative maps. All recent incidents led to Clix taking a hiatus from streaming, citing mental health struggles.
Unfortunately, the bad news for Clix did not stop there. Today, the NRG Esports player revealed that Epic Games would not reinstate his creator code. He will permanently lose out on a significant revenue stream as a result.
Clix Confirms No More Creator Code
Got a confirmation that my code won't be comming back 🙁

Clix took to Twitter with the latest update in his campaign to reacquire his SAC code. “Got a confirmation that my code won't be comming [sic] back,” he wrote. While he did not provide additional context, it seems that Epic Games won’t budge. As mentioned before, Fortnite’s creator code is a line of income for players that requires only self-promotion and a strong following. That opportunity is no longer available to Clix.
A Cautionary Tale in the Fortnite Scene
My mental has been really bad lately a lot of mental breakdowns after streams and just playing the game in general, with that being said i'm going to be taking a break from streaming. Hope you guys understand 🦾

Creators and players should look at this outcome and learn that Epic Games means business. Clix’s insults toward the company’s Chief Creative Officer, Donald Mustard, likely set this train in motion. The ill-advised tweet from earlier this month represented a breaking point. Since then, it’s been mostly bad news for Clix, who is learning his lesson in the harshest of manners.
There’s no telling what could come next for Clix. The 16-year-old has been vocal about his growing frustration with Fortnite. Perhaps Clix’s tumultuous relationship with Epic could lead him to change paths. We’ll have to wait until he returns from the hiatus and reveals more information.
