Cloud9 has just announced significant roster changes ahead of the LCS 2021 Summer Split.
The League of Legends off-season gets even more exciting, as Cloud9 brings in Academy ADC player Calvin "K1ng" Truong to replace Jesper "Zven" Svenningsen in the current line-up. C9, unlike other teams in the league, was doing quite well this year. They won the LCS 2021 Spring Split and qualified for MSI.

However, their poor showing at this year's MSI and their inconsistency might have encouraged the management to adjust the roster. K1ng has been crucial to the C9 Academy's success in the last few years; therefore, his arrival to the main team was only a matter of time. His Oceanic connection with C9 Fudge could also be one reason the team wants to try out new combinations in the Summer Split.
Moreover, Kim "Reignover" Yeu-jin is moving to the Assistant Coach's position in the squad, while Alfonso "mithy" Aguirre Rodríguez is taking his place as the newest Head Coach of the team.
The changes might seem a bit out of place, but if Cloud9 wants to experiment and form new squad combinations to make a line-up for the Worlds, then performing in the LCS Summer Split will be very important for them.
The LCS Summer Split 2021 starts on June 6, 2021.
