Dota 2: December Patch To Bring New Hero, DPC Changes And More

Dota 2's next patch will introduce a new hero along with DPC changes and a new ranked season.

December is just around the corner, which means that there will be an awesome update coming to Dota 2. Usually, Valve decides to change a lot of things around this time of year and, judging from what we learned today, there will be some pretty cool changes. The new patch that will be released shortly will include a lot of game and pro-level related changes and even a brand new hero. Sadly, we don’t know much about this new hero, other than the fact that they will be female.

Additional patch features

Apart from the new patch and the new hero, Valve also released information about the Dota Pro Circuit. Supposedly, it should start on January 18, but we’re yet to see whether this will happen.

If everything goes as planned, the new DPC will be completely different from the previous one. We will still have six regions, and each one will have two divisions. The best teams from Division 1 will qualify for the DPC Majors. We should have more information about them and the other tournaments in the next couple of days.

Besides the new DPC, we will also have a new ranked season starting on December 1. What’s interesting is that we will have a seasonal quest and treasure, as well as many other rewards. Furthermore, we will also have access to a new tool that should help us against all game ruiners.

If you want to know more information about the upcoming patch, make sure you follow ESTNN. We expect the patch to arrive around December 15, but there is no official confirmation on the exact date yet.
