Dota 2: Forev Leaves T1

After spending a year on the roster, T1 have decided it's time to part ways with Lee “Forever” Sang-don.

T1 is one of the most legendary League of Legends organizations in the world. Even though they decided to enter the Dota 2 scene around one year ago, their efforts to break into the DPC weren't quite as successful as many people expected them to be.

That’s why one year after it's Dota 2 team was announced, T1 decided it’s time to wave goodbye to Lee “Forev” Sang-don.

History

Forev has always been one of the strongest players in the world. He decided to join the organization on the first of August, 2019 and try to build a team that aimed at becoming the best in SEA.

As a result, there were several roster changes throughout the year. However, it seems like T1 just couldn’t find the recipe for success. They’ve won a few series here and there but they just couldn’t break into the tier one scene. Needless to say, T1 is not an organization that can be satisfied with that, which is why it’s time for changes.

So far, we have no idea whether what will happen with Forev or T1. The organization still has a lot of time to decide what it wants to do in the future. We really hope that we will see a new team that will be able to go up against the top squads in SEA.

Here's T1's current line up, after Forev's departure:

  • Galvin” Meracle” Kang Jian Wen
  • Muhammad “inYourdreaM” Rizky
  • Tri “Jhocam” Kuncoro
  • Wilson “Polson” Koh Chin Wei

It’s going to be really interesting to see who T1's new player will be. Replacing a legend with a reputation like Forev isn't going to be easy.
