CS:GO: Astralis Reportedly Targeting Bubzkji

Legendary Danish team Astralis is reportedly looking to add former MAD Lions rifler Lucas “Bubzkji” Andersen to its growing roster.

CS:GO powerhouse Astralis is looking to sign former MAD Lions star Lucas “Bubzkji” Andersen, according to a recent report from HLTV. Bubzkji has been without a team since June, as per a report from 1pv. The Astralis roster has grown to seven members since the additions of Jakob “JUGi” Hansen and Patrick “es3tag” Hansen earlier this year.

Bubzkji’s position on MAD Lions came into question earlier this summer. 1pv reported that the 22-year-old had been moved to the bench. During his time under the MAD Lions banner, Bubzkji reached the semi-finals of DreamHack Open Sevilla, DreamHack Open Leipzig, and later won the inaugural season of Flashpoint. The team has not competed since the news of Bubzkji’s benching.

Astralis Add More

Danish team Astralis began to grow their CS:GO roster this year. It began with the signings of former Heroic player Patrick “es3tag” Hansen and former North AWPer Jakob “JUGi” Hansen. These additions were followed by long-time members Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander and Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth stepping down from the active lineup, both due to medical reasons. As confirmed by Astralis AWPer Nicolai “device” Reedtz, Gla1ve will return to the team in August. Xyp9x’s return is still unclear.

Bubzkji’s addition would bring the Astralis roster up to eight members. It is currently unclear whether he would join as part of the active roster or as a back-up. The team is next expected to compete in ESL One Cologne 2020 Europe. This tournament is slated to begin on August 18.
