Season One of Black Ops Cold War and Warzone is here. With it, it brings a new 40 player Warzone map called Rebirth Island. However, it’s not completely obvious how to play the new mode, so here’s how.
With Season One comes a unified progression between Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. This also adds all BOCW weapons into Warzone, allowing you to use them alongside Modern Warfare’s arsenal. When you load up Warzone, it won't be completely obvious how you can drop into the new map.
Instead of selecting the standard Battle Royale option, you’ll want to load into “Resurgence Trios.” This game mode includes the new Rebirth Island map, a smaller map with only 40 players. The Resurgence game mode allows players to respawn as long as one of their teammates remains alive for a certain period of time following your elimination. This means that there is no gulag.
The new Resurgence game mode also features a set of challenges to complete, with the final reward being a Blueprint for the Krig 6. Unfortunately, Rebirth Island will only be available for a limited amount of time, so you’ll want to jump in as soon as possible.
