WePlay! To Host Multiple Dota 2 And CS:GO Events In 2021-2022 With $10M In Prizes

WePlay! is planning big things for 2021 and 2022.

ESTNN’s sources revealed that Kyiv-based tournament operator WePlay! Esports plans to host a dozen CS:GO and Dota 2 events with LAN events in three countries during the 2021-2022 season.

In total, WePlay plans to provide at least $10,000,000 in prize money throughout the events. Dota 2 and CS:GO fans will be able to spectate between 12 to 14 events during the season.

At least 1700 broadcast hours are planned between the English and Russian desks. WePlay! Esports will hold LAN events in three locations – Kyiv, Los Angeles, and Australia. Currently, the Australian city that will host the event isn't yet confirmed.

In addition to Dota 2 and CS:GO events, WePlay! separately mentions their interest in the United States based fighting game esports scenes.

Previously, WePlay! Esports held four CS:GO events in 2019 and 2020 with a $236,000 total prize pool. They also held multiple Dota 2 events, whose prize pool totaled more than $2,000,000. One of them was even an official DPC tournament, the WePlay! Bukovel Minor. With these future plans, WePlay! certainly has a lot to look forward to.
