Following a week of easter egg hunters decoding cyphers and unlocking the secrets of Treyarch’s alternate reality game, a teaser trailer has been released for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
It has been revealed that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be revealed on August 26. It follows the release of a teaser trailer titled “Know Your History”.
The description of the teaser trailer states “Know your history or be doomed to repeat it. Verdansk. August 26.” This confirms that the reveal for Call of Duty 2020 will take place in Verdansk. And that it will somehow tie into Warzone. This is something which fans have been hoping for ever since the release of Warzone as it means we may see a Fortnite style live event. While the teaser trailer doesn't reveal much about Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, it does confirm the name for the first time.
The teaser trailer has been found following six days of hunting through several different locations within the Warzone map and decoding cyphers using clues found within video clips and inside of these locations. Easter egg hunter @GeekyPastimes was the first person to find the trailer, however, it has been a massive community effort to find out this information.
Until August 26 all we can do is speculate on what may happen. However, it seems that the reveal will be included within Warzone somehow, so make sure you’re ready to drop into Verdansk on the 26.
