Learn what Fortnite Chapter 2 - Season 7’s Battle Pass includes!
Fortnite Chapter 2 - Season 7, Epic Games latest major update to the popular Battle Royale title, has finally arrived. While the anticipation only had a few weeks to build, players have long been waiting for a new experience. Last season featured a “Primal'' theme, and the Battle Pass produced outstanding characters such as Tarana, Raz and Spire Assassin. Other recognizable names like Lara Croft, Raven and Neymar Jr anchored the Chapter 2 - Season 6 Battle Pass.
The latest season went in a different thematic direction. This time around, an alien invasion commenced on Fortnite’s landscape, affording Epic Games countless more collaborative opportunities and unique cosmetic concepts. On the heels of Chapter 2 - Season 7’s launch, ESTNN is here to highlight the entire Battle Pass and what’s featured in each tier. Let’s dig in and see what we’ll be unlocking throughout the summer.
Battle Pass Levels 1 - 10
Kymera kicks off the first Battle Pass tier. Players instantly unlock this alien humanoid once purchasing the Battle Pass. He becomes fully customizable throughout the season as well, which we’ll get to later.
Battle Pass Levels 11 - 20
Sunny headlines tier 11 through 20. She is a punk-rock type character with pink hair and an “I don’t believe in humans” t-shirt. Her back bling is a guitar as teased in one of the first clips ahead of Season 7.
Battle Pass Levels 21 - 30
A different style for Sunny appears in tiers 21 through 30. This time, she has a leather jacket, plaid pants and alien paraphernalia all over her outfit. This style is known as “Voyager Sunny.”
Battle Pass Levels 31 - 40
A sentient bunny character takes shape in tiers 11 through 30. This character, known as Guggimon, is a virtual human, according to Google. One quick search produces several images exactly like the character above. Guggiomon’s website describes it as “a fashion horror icon, you artist and mixtape producer.”
Battle Pass Levels 41 - 50
Battle Pass levels 41 to 50 put a male character named Joey in the limelight. He may have fit better in Season 6 based on his appearance, but there’s more to Joey than meets the eye. His story continues in the next batch of levels.
Battle Pass Levels 51 - 60
Joey is actually an alien in disguise. Tiers 51 through 60 focus on a character named “Unzipped.” The animation is an emote that players who use Joey can perform to showcase his true form, a green female alien. Epic Games continues to explore unique skin concepts and transformations, and that’s in full display here.
Battle Pass Levels 61 - 70
Zyg is the main character in tiers 61 through 70. It’s a robot with two selectable styles and an alien friend back bling. He seems to fit into the Season X alien vs robot mold.
Battle Pass Levels 71 - 80
Doctor Slone is one of the key original characters in Chapter 2 - Season 7. She not only appears in tiers 71 through 80, but also has multiple styles and is an in-game non-player character (NPC). Her first set of levels include a glider and unique pickaxe.
Battle Pass Levels 81 - 90
Battlesuit Slone is presumably the second of multiple styles for this character. She loses her glasses for this one and trades out a nerdy getup for a battle-ready outfit. Expect to see more of Doctor Slone in the bonus Battle Pass tiers.
Battle Pass Levels 91 - 100
Rick Sanchez of the hit animated sitcom “Rick and Morty” is perhaps the most obscure and intriguing collaboration in Fortnite history. The crossover makes sense, given the alien and space theme in Season 7, but it’s somewhat surreal to see Rick in the game. Players can unlock Rick, the Butter Robot back bling, Hammer pickaxe and UFO glider in levels 91 to 100.
Battle Pass Levels 101 - 110
Sunny, Slone, Joey and Unzipped each get another selectable style in the bonus Battle Pass levels. Players must surpass tier 100 to unlock these, which include Beachcomber Sunny and another Slone variant.
Battle Pass Levels 111 - 120
Players can unlock an additional style of Rick and Guggimon in tiers 111 through 120. Rick becomes Toxic Rick in his second variant while Slone has another Battlesuit style available in this block of levels.
Superman
Years ago, no one could have imagined that Superman would eventually appear in Fortnite Battle Royale, but here we are. Epic Games’ long-standing relationship with DC Comics paved the way for Kal-El’s triumphant debut. Players will likely need to unlock Superman and his cosmetics through challenges later this season, but the picture above gives us a glimpse. He comes with a Clark Kent variant and Daily Planet back bling.
Shadow Superman
A darker version of Superman is scalable in the second round of challenges. He sports an all-black outfit with an intimidating look. Other items in this tier include a crystal pickaxe and a flying animation that functions as a glider.
Customized Alien
The final and perhaps most exciting Battle Pass inclusion allows players to customize their Kymera alien. We’ve seen similar offerings before, with Maya in Chapter 2 - Season 2 and the umbrella in Chapter 2 - Season 3. Now, players can fully customize Kymera to their liking. That includes his eye color, head color and shape and much more.
Some Battle Pass tiers are not visible yet, so expect there to be more cosmetics available as players rapidly approach level 100 and beyond. Remember, you can get the Battle Pass for free if you subscribe to Fortnite Crew. You also receive the Mecha Cuddle Master, 1,000 V-Bucks and three months of Spotify Premium.
