Ethan has announced his switch to professional Valorant from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and joined 100 Thieves to replace Dicey.
Struggling Evil Geniuses star Ethan "Ethan" Arnold announced his switch to Valorant today. He will be joining the long list of ex-Counter Strike pros to make the jump to the Riot Games title. Ethan will join 100 Thieves, replacing Quan "dicey" Tran for the Challengers Three. But unlike other talents that have made the switch, Ethan may be the most in-form prospect, with an appearance on HLTV’s top 20 Players of the year in 2019.

Ethan in 2020
Ethan came up with Evil Geniuses, previously under the NRG banner, as a hot prospect in North America. Scouted by Damian "daps" Steele, Ethan was a part of an EG resurgence and help the team to a No. 1 ranking in 2020. Since then, the team went on a downwards trajectory in the rankings, and form, bowing out early in many high-profile events.
Ethan’s performance also dipped 2020, dropping out of the top 20 list along with a few of his teammates. While he may not have been in-form during his switch, Ethan will certainly be an upgrade to a 100 Thieves lineup that also has a few former Counter-Strike stars.
Ethan at Challengers Three
The North American rifler will be joining 100 Thieves for the last qualifier of the first Masters event of the year. The organization has a difficult time in the Valorant Champions tour so far, failing to qualify in the last two events.

As for a role with the team, no announcement has been made yet. Ethan was not known for his sniping play in Counter-Strike, so another player on 100 Thieves may fill that need. The team may also elect to stop relying on the weapon, as it has been nerfed heavily in recent patches.
