LoL: Worlds 2020 | Group B Preview

The Group Stage is upon us! Here is our preview of Group B. The conversation surrounding Group B is focused primarily on the two heavy-weights: Damwon Gaming and JD Gaming. This is for good reason as both squads are strong enough to win it all. The other two teams - Rogue and PSG Talon - look to make things interesting, but do they have the skills to pull it off? Let’s find out! Damwon Gaming Damwon is the face of the LCK for this tournament, and they likely won’t disappoint. While there hasn’t been much international competition this year, Damwon is expected to keep up with the top teams of the tournament, and this group will be a great test of their abilities. They are considered one of the best teams because they excel in so many aspects of the game. Their top laner Jang “Nuguri” Ha-gwon and jungler Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu constantly put pressure on the Rift Herald in the early game and cause havoc in team-fights later on. Their bot-lane duo of Jang “Ghost” Yong-jun and Cho “Ber...

LoL Worlds 2020 - Group A Preview

With Worlds Group stage now just days away, here’s our preview of Group A. Group A is pretty well placed for the higher seed sides, and most people have already decided who will qualify out of the group. With G2 Esports, Suning, Machi Esports, and Team Liquid in contention, the clear favorites are easy to see. However, sleeping on sides at Worlds is never wise, so we’ve decided to preview each side ahead of Worlds to see what each side is made of. G2 Esports Can the “King of Europe” do it again on the Worlds stage? MSI Champions, LEC Champions, and 2019 Worlds Finalists, G2 Esports also probably have the easiest group so far. With Suning drawn as the second seed, G2 was able to draw Machi Esports, considered the “soft pick” by most teams pre-draw. As for the fourth spot in the group... G2 are undoubtedly one of the favorites to win the entire event. With the LPL clearly the favorites overall after their previous dominance. G2’s big advantage is the mid lane matchup. Caps is under...

LoL Worlds 2020 - Group C Preview

With Worlds Group stage now just days away, here’s our preview of Group C. Group C is going to be one of the most exciting groups at Worlds. As the first group confirmed, it will also feature one team from each of the four major regions. Team SoloMid, Fnatic, Gen.G, and LGD will make up Group C and it’s sure to be a spicy one. We’ll also get to see each team play on the opening day of Worlds, with TSM v Fnatic and Gen.G v LGD all locked in for day one. Team SoloMid Bjergsen has been key for TSM in 2020, can he carry that form into Worlds? Team Solomid come into Worlds as the first seed from North America, but they’ve been drawn into a tough group with some of the hardest lower seed sides from China and Korea. With Team Solomid starting their Worlds journey against Fnatic, it’ll be a tough start for the LCS side, though not one that gets easier as Worlds progresses. Depending on who you ask depends on who people would see as favorites for the first series and the group in general...

End of an Era - Tfue’s Fortnite Journey From Beginning To End

ESTNN look back at the highs and lows of Tfue's Fortnite journey. Turner "Tfue" Tenney emerged in mid-2017 as one of the most popular streamers on Twitch. Along with other personalities like Tyler "Ninja" Blevins and Ali "Myth" Kabbani, Tfue excelled to become one of the world's most popular Fortnite players. Some famous streamers and content creators were able to build a following based on their casual gameplay. Tfue took that concept and ran with it. His ability to generate clips and eventually perform tournaments set him apart from the rest in the early days of Fortnite. Unfortunately, time eventually progressed to Tfue's exit from Fortnite, and he has not looked back since. Today, we are taking a look at Tfue's extensive history with Fortnite and his quiet departure. Early Days, Twitch Dominance and Disputes with FaZe Clan Tfue's skill set and demeanor drew the attention of many. Chief among them was the popular esports organiz...

LoL: Worlds 2020 Group Stage Draw Results

With Play-ins now over, it’s time to lock in the 2020 Worlds Group Stage teams. While we had some idea coming into Play-ins where sides would end up, we now have a full breakdown of the 2020 Group Stage group composition. Below we’ll briefly highlight each of the four groups and the teams that will make up those spots. Group A Group A is a solid group, but one that most people already feel they know the result of. G2 Esports and Suning Gaming are likely the two favorites, though Team Liquid can certainly spring a surprise with a number of Worlds experienced players on their roster. Team Liquid went almost unbeaten in Play-ins, making them a good shout for Group Stage qualification. It’s likely that their matchup against Suning is going to be a deciding factor, alongside not slipping up against Machi Esports, who despite being the least likely side to qualify, could spring an upset. Group B Group B is probably the group of death. With some of the best teams in the world in the gr...

The second and final day of knockouts are on, who will take the remaining two spots at Worlds Groups? Today we head into our final day of Worlds Play-ins 2020. Yesterday we saw LGD Gaming (“LGD”) take on Rainbow7 and MAD Lions take on SuperMassive (“SUP”). Now, those third/fourth place decider matches come up against the second-place teams from groups. Now, Legacy Esports (“LGC”) and Unicorns of Love (“UOL”) join the battle as the final two spots at Worlds Groups are put on the line. Game One The second series of the day saw UOL take on SUP, as Russia took on Turkey to see Europe “technically” add a fourth team to Worlds Group Stage. SUP shock the predictions by picking up the First Blood as they take first drake and an early lead over UOL. UOL was able to take down the second drake and win the extended fight after the fact. UOL drop two members but ace SUP as they take a massive 3k lead. The UOL squad continued to accelerate the lead as they picked up two more kills in the bo...

LoL: Worlds 2020 | MAD Lions vs SuperMassive Play-In Knockouts Recap

Knockouts are on, with two teams from each group fighting for their World's hopes. After four days of intense competition, the 2020 World Championship has moved on to the Play-In Knockout Stage. Here, the remaining Play-Ins teams will take each other on in best-of-five series. Today, LGD Gaming ("LGD") and Rainbow7 ("R7") from Group B took to the Rift, with MAD Lions ("MAD") and Papara SuperMassive ("SUP") from Group A following after. These series meant so much for these teams, so here's how the second series went down. Game One The previous series was quite one-sided, but the first game of this series set the stage for a much closer one. KakAO claimed First Blood at five minutes by ganking bot, killing Kaiser. After that, a few objective trades let both teams gain advantages, but still stay relatively even. However, SUP pulled ahead around the 15-minute mark by picking off Kaiser, Humanoid two separate times and knocking down th...

Dota 2: Virtus.Pro Is Replaced By Cyber Legacy At ESL One Germany

After Virtus.Pro decided to basically “release” their Dota 2 roster, Cyber Legacy took their spot at ESL One Germany. ESL One Germany is going to be one of the most exciting Dota 2 tournaments in October. It will have a total of sixteen teams from Europe and CIS. Apart from fame and glory, this event will also provide players with a jaw-dropping prize pool of $400K USD. Needless to say, this is a pretty substantial prize pool for an online event. As a result, we will see some of the best teams in the regions going head to head. Although it wasn’t supposed to be hard, ESL had a lot of issues finding sixteen squads. The first problem for the organization emerged when Natus Vincere decided to acquire FlyToMoon’s roster. Although there is nothing wrong with that, FTM and Na’Vi were both directly invited to the event. The new problem and its solution Мы приглашены на ESL One Germany 2020! 😎 pic.twitter.com/rTgW9QPHRt — Cyber Legacy (@cyblegacy) September 28, 2020 Apart from the...

LoL: Worlds 2020 | LGD Gaming vs Rainbow7 Play-In Knockouts Recap

Knockouts are on, with two teams from each group fighting for their World's hopes. After four days of intense competition, the 2020 World Championship has moved on to the Play-In Knockout Stage. Here, the remaining Play-Ins teams will take each other on in best-of-five series. Today, LGD Gaming ("LGD") and Rainbow7 ("R7") from Group B took to the Rift, with MAD Lions ("MAD") and Papara SuperMassive ("SUP") from Group A following after. These series meant so much for these teams, so here's how it all went down. Game One The opening game of the day delivered a rather expected result, with LGD coming out to an early series lead. It started off in the bot lane, where Kramer killed Leza with his Hail of Blades Tristana for First Blood. This helped LGD take the first dragon at seven minutes. After this, LGD went to the top side to take Herald. Even though they had their ADC bot lane, R7 tried to contest the Herald take, which only led to...

Fortnite: Pro Player Mitr0 Reveals A Hilarious Strategy To Bait Toilet Campers

Mitr0 embarrasses his camping opponent with a mindblowing technique. Porta-potties are silently one of the most outrageous objects in Fortnite: Battle Royale. They first appeared in Chapter 2 - Season 2, offering players a place to hide when they are low on materials or want to surprise unsuspecting adversaries. Porta-potties also serve as teleportation options from one location to another. It's a mechanic that comes in handy when a player requires a quick escape from a sticky situation. Exploits have since been found - where players can stay in porta-potties, and their opponents cannot force them out. This broken mechanic occurs when a player enters the ending point of a one-way porta-potty. Chapter 2 - Season 4 point of interest (POI) Doom's Domain features one of these toilers. The vault contains a porta-potty that teleports players to the POI's south side. Benjyfishy notably abused the mechanic hilariously in what became a viral Twitch clip . Although situational - t...

It seems the SEA Dota 2 scene is also going through some changes, especially after TNC’s latest roster change. Park “Match” Tae-won became a part of TNC’s roster around one year ago. He played a really important role in the SEA powerhouse and had a crucial role in TNC’s success. However, he decided to part ways with the organization. History We would like to thank Park Tae-won @MarchDota for his efforts in bringing the team closer to the apex of Dota 2's competitive scene and with this, we are announcing his release from our official team roster. During his career, he played for numerous world-famous teams. Prior to TNC, Match used to be a part of Fnatic, where he was a coach.
