Dota 2: Team Secret To Take Break Until August

After a string of amazing performances,Team Secret decide it’s time for a well-earned rest.

It’s safe to say that Team Secret is the best team in the world. They have been absolutely flawless in the last couple of months. In fact, ever since the COVID-19 pandemic, the European powerhouse won pretty much all events, with just a few exceptions.

What’s even more impressive is that no other team even came close to them. As a result, Clement "Puppey" Ivanov and his team-mates have established themselves as the most dominant team Dota 2 has ever seen.

History

So far, Team Secret is the only Dota 2 team that won six events in a row. On top of that, each of them was an absolute massacre for the enemy team. All Grand Finals were won with a score of 3-0, which is nothing short but impressive.

Here are the names of the teams that have fallen to Team Secret:

  • Team Liquid
  • OG
  • Alliance
  • Virtus.Pro
  • Na’Vi
  • Team Nigma

Considering the number of events that all teams had to go through, Secret’s decision to take a break is probably not going to come as a surprise. In fact, this was announced by their team manager, Matthew “Cyborgmatt” Bailey. According to him, Team Secret will take July off, which means that they will be back in August.

Luckily, there are no major events in EU/CIS during that time. This is great because we won’t miss out on any of the action from this marvelous team.

We expect them to be back in action for the second season of WePlay!’s Pushka League. As you probably know, this amazing tournament will take place between August and September. Since there is no official news regarding the next TI, we have no idea if we are going to see the biggest eSports event in the world.
