The Florida Mutineers take the crown this week as they become the first team to win three Home Series’ this year, but how do the rest of the teams line up?
12. Paris Legion (-)
The Paris Legion took a 3-0 and 3-1 defeat from the Florida Mutineers and London Royal Ravens sending them home after just two games in their own Home Series. They stay bottom of the power rankings and although they play in two out of the three events left, they have two tough groups to battle their way out of.
11. Seattle Surge (-)
They weren’t present at the Paris Legion Home Series, however they don't show any signs of being better than the teams above them. While they have improved, taking FaZe to a game five, they still haven't shown they can beat the teams around them, which they need to do in order to move up the power rankings.
10. OpTic Gaming Los Angeles (-3)
OpTic Gaming left the Paris Home Series after just two games. They put up a fight against New York by winning map 1, but were absolutely embarrassed by Toronto. In one of the biggest blowouts we have ever seen in Call of Duty, and the biggest in the CDL so far, Toronto beat OGLA 250-49. To add to the embarrassment, OpTic spawned on the good side of Hackney Yard, one of the most one sided maps in the game and they were absolutely demolished.OGLA need to return to their Semi-Final form in order to climb their way back up the rankings.
9. Toronto Ultra (+1)
After their incredible Hardpoint performance, Toronto Ultra leapfrog OGLA into 9th place. While they fell short in the qualifier match against the New York Subliners, they definitely showed improvement compared to the previous Home Series. Methodz returned to his best with a 1.13 overall K/D and the team looked a lot better. The addition of CleanX definitely worked as he put up a 0.99 overall K/D and a 1.10 in Hardpoint. Toronto feature in the New York Home Series, before having a week off and then their own event, they'll be looking to win their first chip here.
8. Los Angeles Guerrillas (+1)
The Los Angeles Guerrillas have shown great improvement over the last few weeks. Saints has rejuvenated the squad and they look the best they have all year. While they did not participate in the recent Paris Home Series, the performances of other teams moved them up to 8th. They have a tough game against the Atlanta FaZe at the New York Home Series, however they took them to a game five last time and will be looking to go one better.
7. Minnesota Rokkr (+1)
The Minnesota Rokkr move up to 7th in the power rankings due to OGLA’s poor performance last weekend. As Alexx has been replaced by Exceed for the foreseeable future, he will need to outperform everyone's expectations to move this Minnesota team higher. They take on the New York Subliners at the NYSL Home Series, so it'll be a good start if they can take down the hosts.
6. London Royal Ravens (-1)
The London Royal Ravens swap places with the New York Subliners this week as they were unable to reach the semi-finals. While they had an extremely tough group including Dallas Empire and the eventual champions Florida Mutineers they fell short in the qualification match. However, the Ravens have looked good with the addition of Zer0, Wuskin also had a weekend to remember with a 1.26 overall K/D being the only player to go positive on the team. The London Royal Ravens take on the Chicago Huntsmen at the NYSL Home Series, this is a match they need to win in order to climb up the power rankings.
5. New York Subliners (+1)
After taking down OpTic Gaming LA and the Toronto Ultra, NYSL found themselves in a semi-final. While they took another defeat to Atlanta FaZe, it came in game five and so did their semi-final defeat to the Mutineers where they were reverse swept. New York have looked extremely good since the addition of MackMelts. Not only has he put up big numbers such as a 1.19 overall K/D last weekend, ( the highest on his team) he has also improved his SMG duo Attach, who achieved a 1.11 overall K/D. It's their own Home Series next, and they'll be looking to get their first chip here.
4. Chicago Huntsmen (-)
The Chicago Huntsmen stay 4th in the power rankings as they didn’t play at the Paris Home Series, however they need to improve and at least reach the semi-finals next weekend. A group which includes New York, London and Minnesota won't be easy, but Chicago need to reach the semi-finals after a poor 5/6th place finish at their last event.
3. Dallas Empire (-2)
The Dallas Empire fall down to 3rd place after a semi-final loss to the Atlanta FaZe. After beating the London Royal Ravens twice, 3-2 and then 3-0 Dallas found themselves in the semi-finals. Yet again it was a matchup vs the Atlanta FaZe which now puts their head to head at 4-1 in favour of FaZe, with a dominant 13-7 map count. Huke topped the charts for the Empire with a 1.08 overall K/D as the whole team were split across the board with kills. Dallas miss the next event, but play at both London and Toronto where they'll be looking for some valuable CDL points.
2. Atlanta FaZe (-)
After being defeated in the Final, Atlanta FaZe move down to second place as we have a new leader in the power rankings. While FaZe made it to the Final, they still looked sloppy at times and very easily could've lost some of their games. While they're getting the results, it's not pretty and they will need to improve by champs.
1. Florida Mutineers (+2)
The Florida Mutineers take the top spot in the power rankings for the first time as they become the first team to win three chips this year. They absolutely dominated FaZe in the final winning 3-0 and topped the K/D leaderboards with Skyz, Owakening and Fero all performing extremely well. Skyz finished the event with a 1.42 overall K/D, Owakening had a 1.24 and Fero a 1.19. These are all exceptionally high numbers and cement Florida as the best team in the game right now.
